Cmon now, with your preservation of games, you didnt know that a neo geo mini is desireable. You know that its dedicated, so whether you like it or not, it has to stay that way.
If you dont pick out a game for your kids, then i think you shouldnt be in this hobby. Otherwise, id say your selfish. I take my kids to auctions with me, I try to take them 1 at a time to have a special day with them. I have them pick out a few of the games that they would like to own. And when the bidding starts, sometimes i come home with them, but i always buy 1 of there choices even if it goes for more than i was hoping.
My girls have picked out many games, and for some reason, i have done great on all of them. Ive made alot of money after selling the games they pick out. One picked out a skeeball that i got for 100.00 six months later it was sold for 1000. We have picked up gumball machines, redemption items like cranes. Last month i came home with a DDR. All choices that the kids made.
I bought them a Shrek pinball last year for christmas. which i just sold this week so that we can get a NIB Avatar for this christmas (im gonna lose money on this, but opening a NIB game with them is priceless in my eyes)
