I went to install my SportStation in my Blitz cab tonight, and I had no Green on the monitor. this has become something of an intermittent problem ever since I re-capped this monitor back in August.
I popped the cardboard back off the neck to find that in addition to traces lifting on my remote board, that the neck has them lifting everywhere where the color transistors go.
I soldered some jumper wires and still got nothing. I have an extra color transistor, but before I get into that I was wondering if I could just borrow the neckboard off my unused K7500 for now.
supposedly Green gets nuked more commonly on the U5000 (has some little cap running to the ground?)
EDIT: too late, already made the swap. I didn't blow the K7500 or U5000 up.
K7500 everything was driven high, but that could've been where I had messed with some of the pots to see if they were the problem. U5000 was like super bright but was able to step that down. what's the difference between the two? the U5000's picture improved like 20x just from putting the K7500 neckboard on it!
