do U5000 and K7500 have same P719 neckboard?

I went to install my SportStation in my Blitz cab tonight, and I had no Green on the monitor. this has become something of an intermittent problem ever since I re-capped this monitor back in August.

I popped the cardboard back off the neck to find that in addition to traces lifting on my remote board, that the neck has them lifting everywhere where the color transistors go.

I soldered some jumper wires and still got nothing. I have an extra color transistor, but before I get into that I was wondering if I could just borrow the neckboard off my unused K7500 for now.

supposedly Green gets nuked more commonly on the U5000 (has some little cap running to the ground?)

EDIT: too late, already made the swap. I didn't blow the K7500 or U5000 up. :p

K7500 everything was driven high, but that could've been where I had messed with some of the pots to see if they were the problem. U5000 was like super bright but was able to step that down. what's the difference between the two? the U5000's picture improved like 20x just from putting the K7500 neckboard on it!

As you've found the two are compatible.

Check them side-by-side. You'll note there is a resistor on one, and a jumper on the other that is different.

yar. apparently the U2000 used these too, and one other model. I just compared parts on arcadecup. figure if anyone knows, Chad would. lol

yokes are supposedly slightly different though. my only qualm is will the different resistor/jumper setup make a difference? my K7500 tube was just rejuved and the word is that those just don't last that long.

actually, since the necks are the same, would throwing my K7500 chassis on my U5000 tube make a difference? that U5000 in my Blitz cab is absolute garbage-hacked from all the solder pads lifting EVERYWHERE.

U5000 and the other similar chassis suffer from pad lifing a lot. :(

The resistor limits...something, I can't remember what. It's definitely related to brightness.

You need to trade yokes if you do. The yokes are different between those models.
