Do MK & MKII run on the same sound board?

yeah, same monster. look at the pinout on the MK one I told you about. lol

the P3 is the only harness that connects to the sound board. that covers the +5, -5 and +12. red = +5, orange = +12, yellow = -5.

I'm telling you though, there's nothing wrong with your wiring if it's telling you SOUND IRQ DETECT FUNCTIONAL.

you don't get anything in the volume test?

Yeah I agree, wiring has to be fine. Leaning towards a bad sound PCB at this point.
