I took am upright dedicated GOLDEN TEE LIVE cabinet and created a beautiful replica of the "new-style" cabinets currently out there.

I re-cycled most of the original parts from the cabinet as possible.

These plans on how I did it will be available soon.

Very happy with the end result.

I'm actually documenting a step-by-step process of the Golden Tee that I am currently doing.

When finished I will release it as a "How to Guide" for the Do-It-Yourself guys out there.

( I've already posted "some" pics on Facebook already )

Stay tuned.....

Dave.

I don't know man, that just seems wrong to cut a cab in half!!

I love my GT upright. Not sure about those new "island" versions. I played one recently at a bar and they had the LCD mounted to the wall. It was kind of cool.

Yes. I've seen them mounted to the wall also. But thats the "easy way out".
I like doing things custom.

thats cool. I know where theres a bunch of these cabs empty, if i was rich i would build some gts like that as i fix flat screen tvs all the time, but i dunno man. I guess im too old school, i prefer the original cabs with crts in em.

Is that a standard flat screen tv? how did you convert the signal?

It's a 32 inch Toshiba LCD TV. PAid $329 for it. I put the TV on "game-mode" so that's the way it comes on all the time. The signal uses a standard computer monitor plug which the TV also has as an input for the video. ( Most newer TV's have it now ).

so i would unhook the vga cable at the board there and just run that huh? pretty coon man. I bet the pic is awesome with a lcd tv and in vga mode...

YES, correct. And another option is you can run your audio wires to the audio inputs on the back of the TV too, eliminating the original speakers. I myself chose to use the original speakers though.

OK guys. The TV bracket came in today from MCM for this current project.

It's a Medium TV Flat Mount ( fits 23" up to 36" TV's )
MCM part # 50-9515

Works perfect.
Dave.

this only with the live boardset? can you hook up a fore boardset to a tv?

also didnt you lose the other smaller lcd screen? whats that for in the game? just scores?
