Hello everyone, I recently purchased a CES Trapshoot Classic, The game works great however I am now running into an issue with the DMD. It appears that the one installed with the unit was dropped or something because the glass is cracked where it connects to the ribbon cable on the bottom quarter of the screen. The guy I bought the game from send me with an extra DMD that to my untrained eye looks brand new however the "new screen" shows no signs of life when plugged into the game ( it is the exact same model as the working display). I went through with a multimeter and all components test out roughly the same. I'm now at a crossroads, I purchased a 128x64 LED panel to replace the broken screen and it fits great in the game but I'm not sure that any of the solutions for driving the LED panel are compatible with the game or the 128x64 screen. Has anyone done a LED swap on one of these games? I know these DMD's are now impossible to find without spending much more than I spent on the complete game. Do I dare try to peal the adhesive tape and swap the actual glass panels between the two boards? ( I would hate to break the screen that sort of works and have no game at all). Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
