Hey all!

I was wondering...I've see very few DMD machines, so I wanted to ask if different
companies(Bally/Williams, Gottlieb, Sega etc) had different uses for it. For example, I
played T2, and loved the many different 'videos' it had to offer. So, did any companies
sort of neglect it? or did all did roughly the same job?

...and who were the best at DMD use?

Thanks:)

Nicholas

Some of the later Bally/Williams games had really stunning DMD animation - Monster Bash might be one of the best. Cirqus Voltaire's is really nice, and is incorporated into the playfield since the DMD is down there. For instance, when you lock the ball - the animation of the female magician looks like she's guiding the ball to the lock area.

Gottlieb animation (from what I've seen was pretty weak)... Then again i have only seen it on Street Fighter II but even with a brand new display the graphics still looked like crap.

Then you should not have commented that Gottleib's are weak if in fact your going by you playing only one game by Gottleib!
