Since i got my DKJR 2 Weeks ago I've been playing alot of it. Intell the other day i had'nt got past 3/3? 3RD Bird/Key Level.

But yestarday I got too 4/2 and the Plat Form hardly moves. How do i get DKJR too do the super spring up too the Plat Form every time?

I went too Youtube and was amazed there was no DKJR Videos for tips like DK.

Anyone got tips on this machine?

whats everyone high scores?

Second Chain Stage Strategy,

For me personally I RUSH to get every key off the bottom about 2 inches up as soon as possible seeing that the birds can now fly all the way to the bottom and its not worth the risk later in the level when everything is going on. So after getting everything up about 2 inches its all learning where is safe with the birds and watching out for the snap jaws coming down. I always do the 4 middle keys first then the first key and finally the last key last seeing as its always a close call with a bird turning the corner sharp. You should picture JR in a square, between the birds flying and the snap jaws coming down you need to be in a "safe square". Thats what helps me in the level. Move slowly and do not rush, you do not always need to get 2 keys up at a time and you do not always need to finish a key after you start moving it.

Springboard stage

My general gameplay involves me double jumping to platform, and getting to the left platform. Then climb the 2 vines until you can switch one vine to the right. This would mean I have one hand on the peaches vine & one hand on the vine to the right of it. Now if you look at the vine with the apple, I wait for a bird to get slightly above the ball (on bottom of vines) and then grab that and am able grab it and shimmy to the next 2 vines, wait on those 2 vines and am able to judge when to move next to the last peaches vine, Then wait for the bird to cut the corner sharp on the turn and go across. Then jumping over the gap while jumping one bird and then quickly jumping to the vine with the apple. Then waiting for a gap and making it to the key while jumping a bird at the end.

Note: I usually dont go for the fruit on the vines unless I am feeling frisky, It usually costs me lives

Second Spring Stage, on top platform.

Jump the gap between the platforms when there is a small break in the birds. Quickly Jump and grab the vine with the apple. You can use that to kill 2 birds if timed right. Wait for the small break in birds and slide right down, Then continue to jump Straight up and holding left while in the air so that when u land you take a little step. Jump straight up and repeat untill you get the next break in birds and run forward and jump to the last vine. Timing is key in jumping and dont take a full step between the birds or they might run into you.

For marios hideout I have to do it as soon as possible..

~Jump and grab the vines, climb up and jump off, clear the blue spark and grab fruit in same jump, dash to the end and climb up.

~Second plat - wait for the yellow spark and jump up, wait about 1/4 of the way on that platform and a blue and yellow spark will come at that point and you need to jump those together, then run across and grab the vine (the blue spark will look like its gonna hit you but you just make it below it)

~The third platform I have no pattern for, I play it by ear every time, usually wait till theres only like 2 blue sparks loaded and NOT on the first (closest) vine.

~The last platform you jus need to jump the yellow spark once, and the last jump is always a close call.

sorry I dont have a timing set up for making it onto the small platform, I am almost positive you need to start running as soon as it starts to move away from you

750k. If you repeatedly tap the jump button after you jump you should get the super jump nearly everytime. Once I send in a score for the game, I will put video up on youtube of it.

I uploaded this last year...

My highest is in the 700k-800k range but I don't really play much anymore. Once in a while I'll try to get a serious game going and I usually quit after loosing a couple lives... I just don't have the concentration(or drive) I once had. :)

My tip for myself is "Don't play it." because I am terrible at that game, even though I used to have one. I can only get to the 2nd key stage and sometimes not that far.

wow that is a great Video!!!!!!! I wonder why it did'nt show up when i was looking for it the other day!

So with DKJR your trying too clear the screens as quick as possable? I have been trying too get as many points as i can from the fruits dropping on more then 1 thing at a time.

That was interesting how you where counting the birds . Do you have too be running too do the super Jump on the Spring? or Just hitting the Jump Button more then 1 time?

I wasn't going for any points really, just blowing through boards. I got in that habit when I was going for the kill screen and never came back out of it. :)

If you're trying to maximize your points, DON'T play like that. I'm not a point scalper type so I don't know all the point tricks but you can get a lot more points on the first board just by killing snapjaws with the fruits.

I counted the birds out loud just to show that there is usually a larger space after 6 evenly spaced birds. You don't even have to wait for that space but it's the safest spot to jump.

If you listen during the super jump you can hear me hitting the jump button as fast as I can. That's the easiest way to do it imho. I'm sure there are people out there who can nail it by just pressing jump once... but that ain't me. :)

I have a DVD of Ike Hall getting a million and he jumps on the spring rapidly pressing the button too.

on the 2nd Spring level 4/2? I was able too get on the little plat form but the plat form would'nt move close enough too get too the 2nd rope.

Is there a trick too this?

You mean the tiny platform above the super jump? Move to the edge and jump straight up when it is coming towards you. It will eventually get to you, if I'm understanding where you are at correctly.

yeah you super jump on the spring onto this platform that hardly moves on 4/2. Or does it move all the way over only once?

Jeff's video is a fast way to do it but you have to have the timing right to start the level. I usually superjump up and then move as far left as I can so that I can jump straight up without falling if I miss the 2nd vine. Usually via my pattern it comes to me on the 2nd pass. This is tough to describe sort of. Please fly to NJ and come to Richie Knucklez' arcade this Friday and I will show you.

Wow! You make it look so easy. Great video.

I guess my question here would be how do I know when to start the count?
