When the game is running, should there be ANY voltage measured across the terminals of the coin switch at all? Meaning, if you take a multimeter and touch the common terminal and the NO terminal on the switch with the leads, where the wires are connected from the harness, should there be any reading there at all when the switch is open (not receiving a coin)? What should the voltage read when the switch is closed (by holding it down with your finger). Standard Asahi-Seiko mechs and rectangle coin door with no lights, etc.

Yes, the proper voltage should be available for when the switch closes. An open switch will measure full voltage.

Here is why I am asking. I bought a Nintendo switcher from RiddledTV to use in my converted DKJr cabinet. It was converted with a Mario Bros via one of their Pak kits. I want to use it on the switcher with my Popeye PCB. However, when I hook up the switcher, games will not coin up. When I revert back to just plugging the games in directly on the harness, it works fine. All other functions work from what I can tell (switching games, the joystick, punch/jump), as does the service switch, which is the only way I can coin up with the switcher intact. Jim and I have been going back and forth for a few hours via email with no luck getting it working. He asked me about the voltage at the switches, and I forgot to ask why, so hence I asked (and yes, the proper voltages are there). Has anyone else encountered this issue before, and if so, how did you fix it? Hoping I don't have to ship it back to Jim for him to troubleshoot/test it, but it's looking like I might have to.

A switcher adds another link in the chain or another failure point. If it works without the switcher, I do not know what to tell you.
