I just picked up a DKJr board, and it has intermittent background crackle, much like the sound of a dirty volume pot. I cleaned the pot, tried it at different levels, and it didn't change. I tried wiggling wires, reseating edge connector, reseating the connectors on the audio amp, with no luck. The crackle ceases when I unplug the audio cable from the PCB. This leads me to believe the board is generating the static.
I noticed it changes a bit when I adjust the V and H position pots on the DKJr board. Could those pots be causing the static?
Thoughts?
PS: There is no static when my DK board is connected; same machine, obviously.
