I had Oz over yestarday and he Installed a New Flyback, and capped the monitor. Since then the Game all of a Suddan goes down? No Neck Glow or anything too monitor after it has been on for a few hours?

Oz was going too check into it but i thought i would post here allso.

Thankyou too everyone that responds

Anytime you do a cap kit let alone installing a new flyback you have to adjust the B+.
I see no mention of this being done.

It is called HV shutdown, and it can be caused by not adjusting the B+ after installing a new fly in a Sanyo 20EZV. It could also be caused by a defective B+ pot.

I think Oz messed with this .. After it went down the first time... There was a *Pop* When it went down the first time. Oz thinks it was someone was a Fire works on the day before New Years eve. I was standing right near by the machine .. I'm pretty sure it came from the machine .

Brian, I told you that the B+ was not stabilizing and that is why it was going into shutdown.

After the cap kit / flyback installation I was unable to get the B+ to stabilize. I can not adjust it below 110v and it doesn't hold there, it was getting late in the day so I quit then. I haven't looked into at all yet because I haven't had time...

I was in the room and there was no pop, just the standard sound of the HV shutting down. The fireworks pop occurred later when we were on the computer and in another room.

Now that my toast is burnt... and the toilet won't quit running... "You" know where I am going with this, I am sure.

Brian you need to calm the eff down and relax. Oz knows that when he has the time he will have to center the brightness, center the sub-brightness, center the brightness on the flyback, and try to adjust the B+ to the correct voltage. He also knows that if it won't hold the voltage that the B+ pot is most likely bad and will need to be replaced.

The real question is... Brian, what is your malfunction? The man made a house call and ran out of time. He didn't throw up his hands and go, "welp it is your problem now."

You know Dave He told me something was wrong with it .. Did'nt have the time too fix it right then i completely understood that. But then again he was going too ask around and find out for sure what was going on with it.. I figured i was doing my Part by posting in here and helping finding out what the problem was .. Maybe it was something simple that i could fix and say *Hey OZ I think i fixed the DK3 Shutting down problem*

I can do all that monitor stuff you listed. I have np on waiting on when he can come out next. BTW Dave I'm completely calm. But i don'nt think you are though.TY OZ I could never say that enough for taking the time too come out and work on my games.
