i FINALLY got my dk up and running after a 2 year break. i replaced everything in the cabinet. monitor, power block, coin mechs, everything.i put dokerts new super harness in and it seems to be working just fine with a dk3 board. when i put my dk2 board in it is stuck in dk2. i cant access the menu to change it to freeplay so i can switch between dk and dk2. i pulled the daughter board off and pulled all the chips off of it and replaced everything and still getting the same thing. anyone have a suggestion as to what could be causing me to not being able to get to the menu?

How did your service switch effect the DK2 daughter board menu?

i had the board set to 0 wait time for the menu. when you have it set like that you have to press and hold the service switch when you power up the game to get to the menu. since my service switch is bad i couldn't get to it. when i had the service switch hooked up my coin mechs would not work also. as soon as i unpluged it they work fine.

btw thanks dokert i love the harness. i spent the last two days with it set up and a test bench and tested all my nintendo boards and bootlegs. everything worked except my dkjr which was a working board last time i plugged it in so im bummed on that one. the harness is now in my machine and finally my dk/dk2 is finished. i think i've had this cab for 7 or 8 years now, its about time.

the dk has looked like that on the outside for many years i just never got the inside done. the only thing new on the outside is the coin mechs. it was working for a couple of weeks with a jamma harness in it with clays multijamma running all my nintendo boards with adapters. but i never really liked it so i sold the multijamma setup and it has sat for at least 2 years since then. if i remember right i did have it running dk2,dk3,dkjr, donkey king, donkey king jr, and a 48in1 when i hosted a socal klov party.
