Thanks in advance for your help!

I have an original DK cocktail (2 board I think) with these lines across the screen. Everything else works great. Normal sound and game play. Any ideas on where to start?

Is this a sync problem or bad RAM? Every screen has these lines although on the welcome screen they are blue in color.

Thanks! - Kevin

The can see the characters are being properly blitted over the bars so it's a sprite blitting issue. Prob a sprite ROM or in the datapath directly after the sprite ROM.

I just repaired a DK that had a similar problem. What happens if you adjust your brightness contrast and RBG? SOme of your colors don't look right, so I would start with making sure all chips are seated good and then try adjusting the video and see if any changes are detected. I'd try adjusting it before I started looking for the logic problem. Just my 2 cents.

FYI (if it matters anyway ;) ) If you have an original DK cocktail, it's got the 4-board set in it (the 2-board set won't fit) Might make a difference if you're looking at online references to chip locations and stuff.

Reseat the character ROMs.

It's not a sprite problem or RAM problem.... at worst it's a shifter problem.

It worked!

Thanks everyone for the advice! I cleaned alot of funk from the small chips, cleaned the contacts and reseated them all. Works great:
