I picked up a DK blue last week and I'm trying to figure out if I need to install a replacement top monitor support bar. It appears that the previous owner installed new repro sideart but did not install the top support bar just to avoid having to put bolts through the sideart.

I failed to notice it when I looked it over for purchase. The monitor appears to be supported OK by the bottom mount.

Is there a common way people install the top mount bracket without having to bolt through the sideart? Is this thing going to cause problems down the road if I leave the bracket out?

Im thinking if u don't move it around it will be ok...but once u move it and of it gets rocked just right it could break off the support bar on bottom...I would install the bracket to be safe...I would just use the bolts and put thru the art. I was gonna do flush mount...or drill the hole a little bigger and onset the bolt..but if art is already on...I would just install thru the art...just don't tighten to hard or it will spin the art and u will get rippling around the hole

U can get the bracket and bolts at mikesarcade.com

Thanks.[/QUOTE]
