I picked up a asahi 730A coin mech awhile back, today i went to work on it and saw something that at 1st i thought was a resistor but looking at more closely it looks like a capacitor, i think. Anyone know why a capacitor would be solder from the NO to the ground terminal.
Not sure what the numbers mean on it and if this capacitor was it placed there because there wasnt enough power to the switch!!?

Ken is that factory from asahi? What's it's purpose.
BTW thanks for your response.

No, I don't think it came from the factory that way. Remember, these coin acceptors were used on lots of other coin operated equipment like kiddie rides and photo booths. The purpose for the capacitor was likely to provide a slightly longer coin switch pulse when the switch was tripped.
