No... kept trying to think of other stuff to order w/ it.. and nothing came to mind..

but thanks for the reminder... I better just order one to be done with it..

I can go faster but not slower with the Z80 if I remember right....?

Well today I tried a jamma adapter and rainbow ribbon and putting both my DK and DK jr boards in a jamma cab..

no good..

I tried a new z80A in both boards.. still no good...


So, now they are both boxed up and will be sent to Dick Milliken for repairs..!



hate to part w/ the dollars... especially on two boards.. but they do no good sitting here in this condition...

Tks all for the help.. hopefully Dick will tell me what was bad w/ them,,, and I will post that info here..

Why don't you just trade your boards +$$ to Dick for good ones? That way you can get the new boards on their way to you and he has your credit card number to charge in case you don't ship your boards to him. He did it with me and cost me IIRC $45 + shipping so $55 to trade.

I did say if he exchanges them.. I wanted the 2 board DK, same as I was sending...

I was very happy with my PP II boards he did...

Usually you will end up with an exchange. Dick has literally thousands of board sets. Normally he works on them in groups, such as DK or Pacman or whatever. When he is out of good sets he will work on the set that you have sent. At least this is my experience from actually standing in Dick's workshop.

First time I went to his workshop, he had 3x 6' stacks of Pac boards behind him. on a 4 foot shelve!

I thought that one day I would come in and just see an arm and a leg sticking out from under a huge pile of pac boards.

although my PP II boards were mine he sent back...


and I only wanted to make sure on 2 board set so I can do the upgrades...

just happy to finally take a step in a positive way towards these...

]D.K. had a bad ram on the video board and two bad roms on the cpu, Jr had three bad rams and the sound cpu, I also changed the socket for the sound cpu.
