Question 1:
I've got a DK with a Jamma harness. I have a DK PS, and the original harness was hacked up and connected to the Jamma harness. Can I expect it to power an X in 1 board? Trying to confirm that the power requirements are the same

Question 2:
the connectors out of the DK power supply are fine, but the wires were cut way short. What do I need to get the old wires and pins out of the connector and put new ones in? I know I can buy that harness, but I'd refer to build it if it is economical.

Question 3:
Should I connect the DK PS to the Jamma harness via quick disconnects? Seems like the least invasive way. I could solder them also, just wasn't sure what the best method would be.

Thanks for your help...

can you add the pins or wires you need for the 48-1 to the jamma edge connector that is already there?

what do you need that isn't there already? a second button for player 1 and player 2 controls I would guess.

I guess my real question for #1 is, will the DK PS be ok on an x in 1 board? It worked fine for a different jamma board, I'm assuming that it will work fine on a different jamma board too. Just wanting to confirm that assumption.

Yes, a stock Donkey Kong power supply will run a x-in-1 board just fine.....as long as it's wired up properly :)

Really the multi boards can run on a plug in the wall +5 transformer

If you have a modern non isolation transformer required monitor or a computer monitor you could just put a power outlet strip in the cab and plug in a small tranformer and the monitor

Remote wire the power strip to the power switch...

Even better, move the original switch to the overhang over the coin door (bottom of the CP area)

Take all that wiring and dont use that heavy DK PS.. sell it to a someone who is repairing a DK!!

the PLayer 1 and two buttons can be wired into the controls..

P1= P1 and Button 2
P2= P2 and Button 3

Just tie them in.. It works

DONT HACK THAT CP!!!!

Plus it leaves it looking original
