dk pcb in the sun question did it lose rom data

parted a dk,
the pcb was working perfect,
i accidently left it outside this am and the sun got to it for about 2hrs facing right at the roms that dont have covers, do you think its still ok or could it have had part erasure of roms?

It seems like I've heard it will take a while for that to happen in a situation like that. It takes 10 or more minutes in general to erase one with a UV eraser and that's a very direct source. I'd think you are okay.

Yeah, it's fine.

You have to leave EPROMs in the sun for a LONG time to corrupt them - although I've seen it done.

Easy enough to check though - just read the ROMs into a programmer and compare the checksums to the set in MAME.

A bigger question would be why you were parting out a Donkey Kong :D
