Well I fixed the video just a bit ago. You'll see that problem in this video but it's been solved. After I replaced the two pots on the video board I notice two ceramic disk caps were in bad shape. One broken for sure second looked really rough. I replaced those which were 0.01 uf 50 volts (103z) and the graphics seems to be all cleared up.

The sound is still the same. I hope somebody didn't reverse the JD connection on this board. Just makes a loud siren noise and when you jump pitch is way to high. Also when you die sound like the siren drop down then back when you respawn. Could it be the electro caps at C24 like Mike's Arcade log says?

Here my youtube video once again.

Any suggestions I'm really getting pretty clueless what to do? I replaced the c24 with a 47uf 160 volt. I know that's overkill but it's all I had on hand. It didn't help any.

i would replace all the caps on the sound board and make sure its plugged in the right way, its easy to plug them in wrong.

The sound board fine it works great with my other board. This is a spare, just trying to work out how to get this thing working. Always good to have a spare and I want to learn how to work on these.

Is the sound pot on your JR PCB working? Dial it up and down with your ohm meter on it......

I'm not seeing any other pots on the game board other then the two on the video board. Those are both new. If there suppose to be a sound pot do you know it's location?

Sounds like the digital sounds are operating correctly (intro music, fruit falling etc.), but there are issues with the analog sounds (jumping, walking, climbing etc.).

If you havn't done so already, read this. Then download the DKJR schematics and work your way backwards from where the digital and analog sounds are joined.

I think he is referring to the pot that is on a DK board at position VR2. I just double checked my DK Jr. board sets and there is no pot or a even a location for VR2 (usually next to VR1 on DK).

Thanks for the info I found that guide Kane086 really helpful. If that isn't a valuable document I don't know what is. Mikes Arcade has some good trouble shooting tips to.
