Well I figured I would give this a shot before I went and ordered a new one and I think I have a little more work to do but it really looks promising. I wet sanded it with 1000 grit paper on the really bad spots then went over it with the orbital and 1500 grit. I didn't have any novus so I used some rubbing compound then some turtle wax :) Tomorrow I plan on get some 500 grit and finishing the last trouble spot area off then I will get some novus and polish it up. However not bad for 25 min of work. Oh yeah I made sure I sanded it on a nice soft towel so I didn't scratch the back up where the art work is screened on.

That is pretty impressive. It is nice to see how it turned out. I was planning on doing that with my Star Castle CPO, but then Rich made some nice repros. However there is no reproduction of the Armor Attack CPO that I need to do. Thanks for the tips.

I've fixed lightly damaged marquees in a similar fashion but considering what you started with that is really impressive.

Thanks everyone I am very happy with the way this turned out. Today I finished it up. I went over that last trouble spot with 800 grit wet sandpaper with the orbital palm sander. Once that burn spot was removed I went over the whole thing with 2000 grit wet sandpaper. Then then used some buffing compound and finally polished it up with some plastic polish I purchased at the local auto parts store. Turned out great.

Just noticing these threads now and I'm floored with the results.
CPO's I would have passed up now need a second look.
Awesome work !
