I am gonna seizure pretty soon if I dont find answers to this =)

I am in need of DK JR Cocktail Harness. I though maybe if i could ask everybody here if there is another optional to use different common harness that would work with DK JR 2 Board PCB?

WHY? Apparently nobody in world would give up harness!! LOL

I have Mario bros/Popeye harness and it is for upright. I though could hack up and set up with DK JR but I realize that is a horizonal game!!!.

It would affect?

GRRRR!! hope someone would drop a bomb answer for me.

Thanks in advance!

the wiring harness doesn't care about horizontal or vertical.

a popeye harness should work fine for dkjr as long as you can connect it to a dkjr style power supply.

bob roberts can make you an edge connector harness, but I believe you will have to make all the other connections.

I have a hacked DK Jr. Cocktail wiring harness. The former owner cut all the wires leading to the controls but left the rest alone. Don't know if it would be of any use to you, but I wouldn't mind getting rid of it for the cost of shipping and maybe a few bucks for the trouble of running it to the post office.

1st thing...

Okay.. I had checked the Popeye/Mario bros harness.. I noticed it has already had a two edge connector to the power supply.. so SHOULD I JUST PLUG IN with out adjusting the wiring??

see picture that I had plugged in and its perfect fitted. Should I PLUG Both? or just PIN 9?

(2) Sets of original DK power cables for power supply connectors P9 and P10 (Or if you have the original Popeye 9 and 10 pin short cables chop the black end off of those.)
Chop off about 4 inches back from the 9 and 10 pin black connectors.
Chop off the 2 power connectors of the Popeye harness.
Match the color wires from the 9 wires from the Popeye harness to the P9 power supply connector wires. Do the same for the 10 pin connector.

I am assuming to just leave it be and plug in .. I havent fire it up yet. I rather confirmation so that way I dont screw up anything.

2nd things...

Video inverter convert: I cant Identify which PIN 1 to 6. is it from left to right or right to left?

I had looked at harness and found the 6 colored and inspect the Deadly Posted how to convert popeye harness to DK Series.

Finally finished the harness. For future users the task is quite easy. Here's how to do it and a list of what you will need:

(1) 6 pin Sanyo DK style video cable.
The video cable has markings. Start with green which connects to the wire with the solid black line down it. Work your way left with the above color code.
Chop off video connector plug from the Popeye harness, chop off one end of the white DK video harness (leave about 6 inches) and wire as follows:
Pin 1 | Green - is brown wire from Popeye harness
Pin 2 | Red - is red wire from Popeye harness
Pin 3 | Blue - is wire from Popeye harness
Pin 4 | Ground - is Green wire from Popeye harness
Pin 5 | Ground - is Yellow wire from Popeye harness
Pin 6 | Sync - is Blue wire from Popeye harness

BUMPED and need quick answer.. thanks..

Since DK3 was a kit, it included two big white molex power connectors to replace the ones that existed on the Popeye harness so the harness could be to utilize the new gold power brick that was also provided in the kit. Your cabinet appears to already have the power section converted. AS LONG as the wire colors match from black connector at power supply all the way through the white molex connector then you'll be ok. Go ahead and plug in the cables to 9P and 10P.

If you have an inverter board you don't need to use it due to the fact Nintendo boards invert the video by default anyway.
