So I ordered a coin mech for my DK cocktail and I got TWO in the mail today - odd since the CT only has one. So I sort of "dry fitted" it and it doesn't look like it will fit, could these be UR mechs?

Or are Nintendo CT mechs the same as UR ones? These are damn close but seem to be *just* to big to fit.

May be good news (that I am an idiot) then, these mechs say Model 730-A/B on them.

Must just noobness on my part.

Thank you for the information!

DAMMIT.

These are not the right mechs. The bolt holes are a full half centimeter too tall to fit. Definitely not the right mechs.

My DK cocktail mech is a 740. I recently ordered a working 740 to replace my non-working 740 from member OregonArcade from a different Nintendo cocktail- and it worked great. I can't be 100% certain, but I think the broken one in mine was original.

The source of my incorrect mechs is the same as your working one. I think it's likely an honest mistake.

I sent OregonArcade a couple of PM's offering fair replacement offers (I send the two wrong ones back at my postage expense and accept a single right one in replacement at no further expense to me, or I send the wrong mechs back at my own expense, and accept a full refund).

It could be an honest mistake and though some users here would say I don't owe the return shipping for the wrong items, I can absorb that minor expense and would rather keep a good rep and relationship with a possible future deal partner.

I prefer to think since these mechs are so similar, that this was an oversight.

My cocktail also had a 740 in it, missing a few parts (the coin validator part, and the catch bracket that's mounted on the front to catch a returned coin). Bought a replacement used 740 from a friend who repairs games and it works great, although I have the D2K chip in mine, set to freeplay, but I wanted the game to be complete.

Although I said mine was broken, it was really just missing a few parts- probably the same ones as yours.

But it was a direct swap that took 2 minutes, and the 740 works exactly like it should.
