Let's discuss this sleek unit. If you have one, do you like playing it? Or is it harder? Does anyone have one of these cabs they could measure for me? I have been trying to buy one, but I've only seen one come up for sale locally and I foolishly let it go at auction 3 years back. I really like these ugly little bastards. I think I will have to build one. If you have one, post here. If you had one. Post here. If you have one for sale within 300 miles of MN, PM me.

Im with you on this. I think they are ugly but would love to have one. When they do come up for sale tho, they go for some high bucks.....at least the ones ive seen. I missed out on one about 4 or 5 years ago up in dallas that I believe sold for $300 bucks. Ebay seller FUN! got it and had it for sale in his store for $900. Dont have any Idea if he ever sold it.

i'm not a fan of these mini's. they are almost as bad as their CT's. maybe if they didn't have the woodgrain siding........nahhhhhh......just to fugly lookin.

Had one, didn't like it. "Awkward" is the word that best sums it up. The angle of the screen is a major drag if you plan to do any serious gaming on it. It still gets points for the cool 70s brown and orange logo panel though.

have one . love it!!! i put a dk2 kit in it so i love playing it........however when you go back to the full size what a difference(screen size)

I have one and I honestly play it more than my upright for some reason. My upright was a gutted cab that I wired up with JAMMA and used a Nintendo to JAMMA adaptor with an original board. I think having the original hardware in the mini contribues to why I play it more. I actually bought the cabaret after already having the upright mostly because it was a great buy from an auction ($75 I think). From a gameplay standpoint, I think it's pretty good but the angle of the monitor isn't the greatest as someone else said. Other than that, I like it.

You can see mine in this pic.

Own one. Love the thing. Everyone who comes over does the "Never seen one of those" or the "I haven't seen one of those since the early 80s" thing.

Controls are just like the UR, and the smaller monitor doesn't take anything away from playing DK, IMHO. (It's also a damn good little monitor.)

Dude, love the tits on your donkey kong wall art.

I had an UR, but sold it off to get the mini. The color scheme is what really keeps it from popping like the UR, but I still like mine. Mine has the DDK set-up and does get played. The cabinet is light, just like the URs, so it makes it easier to move around.

Haha I can't take credit for that one unfortunately. It was from my local arcade that closed down a few years ago. When I posted a pic of the whole thing a while back someone said the face looked more like Scooby Doo lol. The Pac Man one looks a bit closer and I also have a blue Pac Man ghost.

Can anyone take a pic of this cab from the side and back? The flyer only shows a 3/4 view. Does anyone ever see any cabaret parts for sale? CP, Bezel? I know they sell repro marquees. Looks like a standard Radarscope 1 coinslot Ninty coindoor. Is the base the same height and general profile of the upright?

Phet, Gary Southward has one; at least he did last time I was up there. Fair shape, worked good, but he wanted $600 for it; he ain't gonna get that. Might be worth a call and a trip. Cash in his face makes him lower his prices....

Well, I seriously would pay half that. I lost out on a nice one at the MOMA auction that sold for $250 2-3 years ago. That was the price I had in mind, so when other dude reached it, I tried to control myself and backed out. Obviously regret it now. I have never dealt with Gary.

Gary's a good guy, he just overprices some of his stuff. Hell he has 11 semi trailers full of games(most are EM I believe); so it may be worth a trip. When I get these last 2 games of mine running I'm gonna head up to Gary's again and dig thru those trailers....

Call me, I'll meet you there.

Mine's actually got 2 coin slots on the door. It also took me a while to track down a control panel for it. For some reason, when I bought the game at auction, it came with this homemade panel...

Nah - it's a sticker.

I remember seeing someone else with a cabaret saying their Donkey Kong marquee sticker was actually stuck over a Space Firebird or some other game sticker.
