This may be a dumb question or maybe Im not looking at it the right way.

I wanted to turn down the sound on my DK cabaret since its pretty loud. The adjustment as far as I can tell is at the bottom front of the monitor (original Sanyo) facing the front of the cab.

There is what appears to be a factory stapled piece of black bendy cardboard in the cabinet covering this part of the monitor. Not sure why its there or what it does but it looks original.

From what I can tell I cant get at this control without removing the cardboard. I cant get at the control with the control panel off either..

nighttime bump..

anyone ever see this cardboard piece I am talking about on one of these?

It's the mullet of the game. Just there to block light out from behind the screen. Remove staples and adjust away

Thats what that is? I figured maybe it was to stop people from getting zapped sticking their hand in there or something.

What a dumb idea.. stapling a cover over the adjustments. I can imagine an operator having the same issue, going in to adjust the game and wondering how to get at the controls without ripping it out.

The pots you are referring to - facing the front of the cab, behind the mullet - are actually the color drive and bias pots on the monitor neckboard.

The volume pot is located on the right side of the monitor, under the monitor bezel(s). Unclip control panel, lift plexi bezel, lift wooden bezel/surround - BAM! Volume pot. ;)
