DK 3 bezel (not me)

The center part being uncut will be the issue as the original has the black border outline, this one does not.

Gonna be hard to cut out the center cause it has the white border.

This is the one that I'm in the middle of reproducing:

Man I hate the compression on the pics I upload :D

I'll be reproing some of these real soon (silkscreened onto plexi too)

what's the difference?

this is just a mylar underlay that you would place behind plexi . Issues I've seen with this type of thing are sagging. Basically the mylar art work does not stay up against the plexi but falls away from it looking bad. Also I've seen repros of this kind fade even when not in areas that get much sunlight. This will of course depend on the quality of repro print.

so if THIS is being done, why doesn't someone run these already screened on plexi???

Ummm..Cost! Its not cheap to silkscreen anything especially when you have as many colors as this bezel..not a cheap venture good to see someone..even in Australia is taking on the project.

However it is cheap to print inkjet prints like you see there and sell them. There are better methods of inkjet prints these days but it depends on printer, ink being used, and material that its printed on.

Very true, I'm getting a sample of a UV ink one, Solvent inks and then if they are no good then silkscreening.

The printer is this one: http://www.dgsmimaki.com.au/pages/printers/jf/jf.html
See the bottom left pic :D

I'm told these $200K printers are great ;)

When I have the samples, I'll post it up for all to see.

so for example what would something like this cost to produce per piece?? ballpark.

If it were the UV inks on the flatbed printer less than $8 for the print and the cost of the glass/plexi (not including my time to fix up the artwork :D )

But yeah, cheap to do it this way and it will be reverse printed onto the glass and coated (it's the new way to 'screen print' I'm told but we'll see)

From other samples I got (lexan printing and others, they really look great)
