Hello everyone!

I just bought this machine for a comic book shop I work at. It has a few problems that I am looking to correct, but google is failing me with resources aside from this forum. So, here are my questions!

1) When we first got the machine and I loaded all the slots, only slot 2 wouldn't work. The "out of product" light will remain on even when loaded. What would be causing this?

2) The first slot (2 row) was working fine, and then it jammed. I pulled everything out to unjam it, and then restocked it. No matter which way I load the machine, it will either shoot out all 4 cans I have in there, or make a noise like it is trying to vend and then nothing happens. Slots 3-6 work fine.

3) The bill acceptor will not work. At one point the owner said it did take a bill, and spit it out. Now it just simply doesn't even accept bills.

My main concerns are getting slot 1 fixed, as we knew the bill acceptor problem and slot 2 problem when we bought it. Does anyone have a resource for how to properly load a machine, or maybe a fix as to why it tries to vend and does not work?

check to see if the slot that is vending 4 cans at once is set up to vend bottles. You need to look at the vending motor. See if it is set the same way as the others.

This may be a solution, and I will look into it. However, it did vend just fine until today. Would it be possible that I was just getting lucky? I took out all the cans and found a jam at the bottom, but after fixing and reloading in multiple ways it either doesn't work or unloads 4 at once. You can hear the motor attempting to spin the product when it doesn't work. Also, does anyone have a good resource to make sure I'm loading it correctly? As the pictures on the machine seem to not be all that great.

You will need to take the cover off that hides the motors and look how they are set up. The cover is the on that has the diagram on it. There should be a couple of screws on the bottom, there are pins on the top. after you loosen the screws you can lift on the top part of the cover. It should then reveal the motors.

I did this, and it is set the same way. They all seem to be clicked into the "2" setting. Which means that it will hit all 4 clicks, instead of 2. I will take some really detailed pictures of the whole machine tomorrow and post them. It almost seems like the machine is spinning, doesn't spin enough once or twice, and then spins and shoots out 2 cans.

A couple of things.

WOW, This looks exactly same as my machine.
**UNPLUG IT ALL BEFORE REMOVING MOTOR COVER!!**
Trust me I did the small plug unplug and putting the cover back on hit a hot 110 LEAD!
Breaker kicked in before voltage got me.

First off, I have to look for it, or search threads by me there might be a link in there to a manual. I will check locally as well.

The switches have a "landing" zone, It could be wrong zone.
If we can get you the manual you can check them.
As of partial turn and the motor stops or "jams" could be a motor starting to go.
I think my number 6 is doing same.

First of anything, You have it outside
Take all soda out and clean the living dog CRAP out of the lower section BELOW MOTORS
above use a sponge!.
below that take off the landing shoot, and it will make it 10 times easier,
Simple green works awesome with hot hot water.
If any rust scrub the hell out of it and use some Mexican chrome (silver spray paint)
and give it a fresh coat. If its rust free (usually surface only anyhow)
You would be good with a scrub down.

As for the one saying its "out of product" I would check the switch with a meter
could simply set it to continuity, and try activating the switch.

I really would suggest clean the hell out of it first..
And I will tell you its a great pride you will have when someone checks out your machine
and its spic n span.

OH YEA, CLEAN ALL CONTACTS ON the motors as well!. buy some contact cleaner, and give them
a good gentle scrub, I use a ocello sponge has a great non scratch backing but gives a good scrub
then spray them down again with contact cleaner

REMEMBER PULL ALL POWER BEFORE AND WHEN REINSTALLING MOTOR COVER!!

Do you have any resources for new motors? I think that may be the problem. All of the single slots work flawless, but 2 out of 3 of the double stacks do not work.
