I just bought a dixie narco 240/138-6 pepsi machine. All of the motors work however I found out there is an issue with two of the slots. One which has ruined three cans of soda already. The one slot works ok but dispenses two at a time for some reason. The other, you have to hold the button in for the motor to keep turning and it will dispense one and than then if you keep holding the button it will dispense another soda and just keep going this way until it jams and burst the can. There is no shims or anything that I see inside of any of the columns, however two of them work fine with cans with no shims its just that the one dispenses two cans for some reason. These are occurring on the three middle columns which have the gate that you have to open to get to them. Any ideas what is wrong?

I figured some of it out. All the dials were set correctly for cans. Some of the troughs that the sodas lay in were hitting the side walls. I think over time that it threw it off as it probably twisted the troughs frame a little. The things that run outside of the cams were shutting off a little earlier than they should be. I welded some plastic onto the came so it stays actuates for a little longer and that allows the first soda to come out when it should instead of staying stuck in and than coming out with he second. So that issue is fixed. '

With having to hold in the button for the one to cycle I found out that the switches leaf contact was bent in and not making contact with the cam. I bent it back out and that fixed that issue.

Now we are on to the jamming issues which I am still having. Many many sodas were wasted today. I found out that if I don't fill each row up to much, that it doesn't seem to jam. Not sure why this is happening. I can't figure it out. Not sure if it's because the shim is missing or not. I don't even understand how the shim fits in. All I see is a hole in the side of the row.

can you get some photos of the cams and motors. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow of the one I have. I don't have any shims that I know of in my machine (DNCB 320C/184-8)

Ok here is some photos. The middle slot jammed again today. I might have had one extra can in the back instead of having the front and back loaded evenly all the way. Here is a photo of how it jams. Sometimes it jams like this, other times it jams with the can straight up and down. Also attached is how I have the cans loaded, pictures of the empty trough and photos of the cams. It seems the three middle single chambers are the ones that jam the most. The dual loading ones on the ends don't seem to jam much.

Here are some photos of the center selections.
The outer selections are set up for cans and the inner selections are set up for bottles.
notice that the bottle selection is a continuous loop with 1 stop, and the can selection has 2 stops. I have to watch them sometimes as the small 12oz pepsi bottles get stuck sometimes.
