Ok, long story short. I traded for a Twin Joker Pin which only 1000 where made.
During transport the head broke off of the pin and cratered the back glass, which WAS in Pristine condition. After that, I couldn't wait for the day to be over.

Anyone ever tried to refrabicate a back glass? Not even sure how to search for that on the forum.

Also don't know how they were originally manufactured. Guessing they may have been silk screened, but not sure that was even available back in the the early 70's.
The playboard is in great shape, so hoping I can recover from my stupidity.

I'm thinking that it's a chance in (you know) that I will come across a BG since this is a part time hobby as it is, so I'm not into the contacts as many have.

Anyone know someone that may reproduce BG's or how I might even attempt to make it?
Worse case, I will try to recreate, just not sure at this point how to go about it.

Looking for some wisdom or suggestions.

Not trying to sound rude, but never transport with backbox upright! Always travel with it down or off. It isn't worth the risk and only ends in disaster.

pretty sure glass was silk screened in that era. problem with doing a repro silkscreen item like that is cost. To do just one would cost a lot due to the size, set up time ect. If there is a market for this item you might be able to have 10 or 20 made which of course would not be cheap but selling off the extras could eventually allow you to break even. I'd expect to put a couple grand up to make something like this happen. Not sure if that's feasible. Might be easier to find another original.

I am doing this exact thing right now. I am hand vectorizing a complete backglass for a Williams Skill Pool. I am about 15 percent done, but it shouldnt take too long. I am going to have it printed as a translite, and maybe see if John Greatwich wants to take a shot at direct ink printing it onto glass....

Oh, good, I'm not the only one that is utterly crazy. I'm also going to try making up a translight for my Black Knight. The mirroring is going to be a bit of a pain though, probably have to do a separate layer for that, or maybe make a mask and spray it.

Try these guys..I found this in another post on here.

Thanks, I contacted them but as I suspected, they did not have it.
Also put out a few feelers but nothing so far.

I will look into the translight idea from others, but at this point I don't even know where to start, so a bunch of research is in my future.

Tim, Let me know how that works out for you. If you do the translite I would be interested in one. Shipping on a ink print glass scares me but either way I need a Glass also for a Skill Pool.
