Is there a dip switch setting for Discs of tron to switch from Upright to environmental. I burned the 'dotron.zip' roms for my discs of tron and when the game boots up its running it as a environmental... I tinkered with mame with it and there was a toggle for upright and environemental... Any clues chime in... people who own one send me your dipswitch settings..

heres dip settings.. that might just be a mame thing:

Funny enough I got the same thing in front of me. I'm re-checked the eproms with what I got. I suspect someone switched roms in the zip files that I downloaded.. err.. I mean restored to original manufacture settings.. yeah thats it.

I've re-checked my eproms with the proper checksums. All matches. Does anyone know where else on the CPU board it tells it that its a upright vs. environmental... I've flipped all the dipswitchs in every direction including the ones Willy Wonka would flip in the Wonkavator... Still says its a Environmental machine. :(

This might help. Might not but it is a good read either way.

From what I've found out installing my S&T box, you switch it by jumping two of the pins on the PCB. The pics in the other thread will show and explain where. If all of your pins are unaltered and still in the connector (not modified), then I don't know what else it could be...but that's not saying much.

Good golly I looked at that and it made sense! No actually I found the problem! Since I ordered the Discs of Tron harness it was for a Enviromental. Not upright... Found Pings 8-9 crossed.... clipped them and bammo! Upright! Now last glitch... which I think is a Ram problem or something heating up.. It plays great for 5 minutes until it slows down.. And from my knowledge in the computer /electroncs field.. Something is getting warm and malfunctioning. Time to take the boards out and give it the good old finger /heat test.
