Discs of Tron - Whats a fair price

I'd work a deal before it goes on cl if you really want it.I doubt at $400 - $500 it will be there long.

$400? You guys are funny. I've seen DOT PCB's sell for $300 alone. It's a $1500+ game all day long, if you can even find one. I had to ship mine 1500 miles also, and it took me about a year to find it. And DOT's are rare compared to Tron machines, and you'd be lucky to find a Tron in that kind of shape non-working for that price.

If he posts it on craigslist, he'll get calls from all over the country from people telling him it's worth $3K.. because that's what DB's do... then you may not get the machine at all. See what he wants and make him an offer that you're comfortable with, start low and go to your breaking point if needed.

A water logged one sold for $1500 a while back.. here's the original listing and then the sold price.

Good luck!

Ok U guys, enough.

I'm trying make a deal with someone on here for one of these and this isn't helping!!! Where's the KLOV price police when you need 'em?

The last time i saw a UDOT sell for its lowest price was 2009 - someone posted on RGP, a non working one for 900 or so. Sold in three days. This was before the film. I kicked myself for passing but at the time i was pin crazy.

Since then, when they even come up for sale, 1200 - 1500 easily, and lately, there is ALOT of demand for these. I just sold an EDOT and had inquiries, with around 5 lookers passing because they were holding out for a UDOT (space + cheaper).

If you can convince your friend 400, the best to you, you found a great deal. But i would suggest leveling with him and offering a little lower than value (explain it saves him trouble), because if he tests the waters and it goes on CL, it wont last more than 24 hours at sub 1k.

Oh - as far as fixing them to run - not much to it (if i could do it with the help of KLOV of course, anyone can).

If it hits CL your deal is dead in the water. Guaranteed to spawn a new thread from you, talking about how you guys worked out a deal but A) when you made the mistake of making a second call to ask for directions B) was driving to pick up and you answered your cell C) got there to find no EDOT -- you find another collector tossed a wad of cash at him that was larger than your wad. BUT HEY! It's his right to do it! It's okay that no one's word means anything now days! Hurf durf! AMIRITE?!

My two cents: ask him what he wants for it right now, then decide if you want (or can afford) an EDOT that badly. Don't tell anyone here who or where it is or it will be gone before he posts on CL...hell...likely even before you even talk to him again.

10 bucks. EDOTs are garbage and have zero collectible or resale value. In fact, the new movie made them even less desirable. They should pay YOU to light the thing on fire for them.

P.S.
I expect the proper bribe slipped to me if you get it cheap.
