What media player did you use?

Would be better if you could find the power control to the LCD backlighting and hook it up to the relays so the image would go dark during instructions like the original.

I just got a cheap one off amazon. I could do that since I'm using the environmental harness but then I'd have to buy the relay board and I don't really care too much for that little effect haha. I am adding a peach though for sure.

Would you be building a smaller tron or actual cabaret? Because the original cabaret didn't have the background or would it just be replacing the rear wood panel with the monitor?

What monitor size did you use and do you have any pics of how you installed it ?

I used a 24" Walmart onn computer monitor. I took a piece of wood and cut it to length, made my holes for the monitor to mount, and then got it centered with the help of my fiancé and screwed it to the back of the mounts the original piece would mount to.

you're missing a wood piece the control panel rests on, goes on top of the coin door panel...

if the backside of the coin door panel isn't routed, just take the 1/8 off the back of the hardwood piece

Yep I've been asking about the measurements for that and never got them. Thanks that helps me finish that part.

I'm aware, I owned one. I'll be building an actual Tron cabaret with this LCD mod built into the back board.

Got a correct panel today! One step closer to finishing this game. Now I'm waiting for TOG to finish making the overlays and it'll basically be done.

Yeah I've been talking to another guy and he was building one as well so he made some extra parts and a panel. I called TOG and Kendra said they should be done with the overlays this month hopefully. I also had a custom carpet made

Got an original speech board off eBay for cheap and had cdjump check it out and with his help we have speech! The cpo finally shipped so hope to see it soon and all I'll lack is the 2 inner glasses to finish this build.

The control panel overlay finally showed up! Now all I lack is the 2 inner bezels and this project will be done.

It's not perfect since when i started this build there were little to no reference photos but it's came a long way. Wacko is next but it's not quite a scratch build. I have the guts just needing a cabinet.
