Someone had created this backdrop. It is an enhancement that lacks some features. Might be good as a temporary replacement until an original is found.

That's real clean, but I think it's too low resolution to print. I think it needs to be 300dpi for a good print. I'm trying to do mine at 600dpi.

Could you send me your scans so I can tinker with it too... got some photoshop wiz's over here (they go to school for this crap.. maybe they can assist. Could you can email me ' [email protected] ' if thats cool... Get me a size of the whole art work so I know what size canvas...

Since my scans are so large (like 100MB+ per file) it might be easier if I mail you a CD.

Holy crap I just sprung wood there for a second... THANK! Yeah that would work... just need the measurements and all is good.

The translite is 22-15/16" x 17". The cutouts at the top are 1" on the horizontal axis and 1.5" on the vertical axis.

I tried taking it to Kinko's, but their scanner was roller-feed and I wasn't going to chance putting it in there and breaking it.

I deleted my original scans, so I've been trying to get new ones by using different techniques. The translite bends on the sides it hangs off the scanner (the scanner glass is recessed from the body of the scanner), distorting not only the geometry of the scanned image, but also the color.
I tried putting a piece of glass on top of the scaning area, but that didn't help. My scanner doesn't work upside down either.

Does anyone know any other techniques for large format scanning like this? Also does anyone have any recommendations for stitching software?

That is the "secondary" bezel, it goes behind the mirror and in front of the translite. I figured that would be a hard part to find. But it looks easy to reproduce.

Well I just bid on it... so lets hope no one else gets it. I got the mirropane cut today. I gotta get the order of the pieces.

I got first the red lined art work plexi... I'm assuming the mirropane then this plexi I just bid on.. then the artwork were trying to get scanned..?

That is right. Do you have the front bezel (with the red lines)? Surprised there isn't a repro of that. You could probably make one yourself.

I just finished another set of scans, 8 files this time (lots of overlap) and they total 1.70GB! Uncompressed 16 bit tiff files at 600 dpi. I'll try to get them posted tomorrow, I think I can halve the size by going to 8 bit.

As the Professor in Futurama would say "Good news everybody"... I got a monitor working for my DoT after rebuilding 3 chassis. So I got the best of the best running in it. Recapped and all. I need to get some dirty measurements of the monitor mounting brackets. I will say I had the one piece just made for the front that covers the plexi for the screen...and it came out great! It set me back 60 bucks but its for the love of the game. If anyone can get that information to me today or at thier earliest I will bow down to them.

The CPU board boots up too! But I got what it looks like bad ram possiable. (Missing lines in certain sprites. But I'm gonna check that out later tonight.

Now I gotta find a MCRIII sound amp. I saw one on ebay but didn't jump quick enough. I have plenty of MCRII sound amps. I might be able to work some magic. Its not like its gonna use a S&T board anytime soon.

Alot of things have changed in the last few days... I located a MCR III Amp! I got the monitor mounted after making custom mounts. I still can't figure out the video glitch. More to do this week... i'm so looking forward to playing it. If anyone comes across the plastics in the front or has a set in rough shape I'll take 'em .. something is better than nothing.

Woohoo ... I got a board set in today... I ordered a Root Beer Tapper board set... gonna re-program eproms for DoT. should be running this week if all else fails. I still gotta get a measurement on the two way mirror/glass...

I've read up on Panning and non panning sound boards. I saw the list on what is what. But I didn't see my board number on there... I got a ' A082-90913-F000' Is this workable... if not who knows how to make it 'Do-able' in that good kinda way..

I've looked at that... but in my case.. I made a boardset work that was never supposed to work with the game... I haven't seen a combination of MCR's that I can't make work together
