So here is the new thread that will document the rezztoration of my EDOT now that it is finally in my garage. I brought it home about three weeks ago and have gotten alot of work done on her so far. The trip home was good and i am very lucky it didnt rain as the tarp barely made it half way before it totally ripped apart. Below are the pics of her on the day she arrived home...

You can imagine my horror as i removed the back panel and saw this...the pcb broke away from the mount and was hanging loose...who knows how long it was like this...but luckily there was no damage...

So first order of business was to completely gut the machine. I got all boards sent out to cdjump for repair. Sent off all metal to powdercoaters...made a large order from Rich..and sent off monitor chassis to Smalltownguy2 to be re-capped. Got mirror panels from OUFlight. Still have a few small things to get...new joystick...lights...etc.... In the meantime i flipped her on her back and started the repair on the bottom. As you can see from the previous pic of the right corner...the bottom...side...and angle corners were completely loose...so much that the bottom panel had shoved up inside a good inch. because of this it had busted away a good 3/4 inch along the right panel. I was able to pull the bottom panel out and positioned everything back where it needed to be. I did the initial sanding..Applied copious amounts of minwax wood hardener...then glued and screwed everything together nice and tight...

everything back in its place...

I talked my powder coater to rush the leg leveler and wheel mounts so i could get the bottom finished. also ordered new leg levelers and installed with new bolts... here it is finally finished...

I had some extra matte black vinyl from my star wars project...so i threw that on the angle piece...

Now that i had the bottom finished...i could work on some of the odds and ends...
Removed the side art. The right side came off in two large pieces...took all of 30 seconds...

But the left side was a different story...took about 1.5 hours to remove this side...

And removed vinyl from mirror panel area..took awhile...but was able to clean both sides up with a little heat and exacto knife..

The coin door panel was very loose...so i just removed it and fixed separately. had a few nicks and holes...sanded...bondo...sanded...and applied matte black vinyl..

Also re-applied vinyl strips along the inside where the coin door panel will go. There is only about 1/2 inch showing...if that... when panel is on...thought it would be much easier to do it now before panel is reattached..

So as of now i am just waiting to get my stuff from rich so i can apply the side art...vinyl...and t-molding. Once the outside is finished i am going to get her hauled down to the basement. Once there i will install the rest. I figured since this is such a heavy bitch...might as well make the trip as light as possible.

Looking awesome, what great prep work!!!

I'll have to start my own EDOT thread soon.

Sorry to hijack this thread.

Which is the correct T moulding tool for EDOT?
7/64" wide spine (including the barbs)?
Or 3/32" wide spine (including the barbs)?

And which width for the actual T Mould please?

Thanks.

I don't know the answer to that one...I found a drywall keyhole saw which was same thickness as the slot...but I don't know its width....also its 3/4" light blue...got it from twisted quarter...but u can get almost anywhere...
