Hey klov, I'm a long time, lurker first time poster. I recently purchased my first arcade, a Cruis'n USA machine. The screen is overall very nice but I noticed in the top right corner there is a discolouration which mostly affects the red colours. I was wondering if purchasing a degaussing tool would fix the issue? I've attached a picture of what it looks like on the red test screen.

Thank you for the response. I wanted to confirm before purchasing one of those degaussing coils. I can't wait to see the picture when it's degaussed, it will look amazing.

try turning the game physically and watch the screen......does the color change? Your issue may get fixed with degaussing, but may be an issue of purity which can only be solved by correcting the placement of the yolk on the neck of the tube.

I turned the machine while it was on but the problem stayed in the same place with the same colour. I have read about purity and I was hoping that I didn't have that issue.

Thank you all for the reply. I got my degaussing coil in the mail recently and used of a few times on the monitor (with breaks of course) and the discolouration is practically gone. I think after using it a few times more the discolouration will be completely gone and the screen will look perfect.
