well after dealing with using a nintendo zapper on my pc 10 since i got the machine
i finaly got myself a real light gun on my game
thanks to slinkmasterflex
got the lightgun shell and trigger assmbley today he sold me and promptley got to work
busted out the old dreml tool
took the nes zapper optic board
filed down bolth sides or the pcb almost to the metal
then i filed a cut out on the front bottom of the metal peice so it would fit inbetwene the 2 stops inside the light gun case
then swaped over to a engraving bit (really small tip) and began shaving a little bit at a time out of the grove where the original pcb would have fit (to make the groove deeper and elongate it more twards the rear to fit the wider longer nes zapper pcb)
i also had to shave down the parts on the rear side of the case because the zapper connector plug is wider
after test fitting the nes pcb then removing material several more times
i got a perfect fit
solderd the nes optics pcb leads to the pc/vs light gun trigger
then ran off to ace nuts n bolts and found some berfect 3mm machine screws to replace the crappy security ones that were original
and since im not using the swivel and metal case i oicked up a rubber stopper to install in the base of the gun
now imm ready to kill ducks at a total cost of 41$ (screw the 100-150$ the guys on ebay are asking for a replacment)
left over parts from my nes zapper
and pics of my now pretty much original pc/vs light gun
