I bought a Space Invaders about 2 months ago. I got it for $200 and it looked like this...

I removed the stickers. Gave everything a good cleaning and started my list of problems.

Speaker sounded horrible.

Controls were problematic.

Everything was locked and no keys.

No coin door or cash box.

I drilled the locks. It turned out it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. It was my first time doing it and it only took about 10 minutes.

I opened up the machine and used a can of air to do some dusting.

I took off the bezel and marquee and tried to clean them up.

This is where my problems lie. I tried to clean the bezel, which is painted glass, and all of the paint started flaking off. Not just a little...but large amounts of it.

The marquee cleaned up nice but the light bulb was burnt out and there was no starter. (those parts are on order).

I can't find any coin doors or cash boxes for these Taito Trimline cabs.

And it is impossible to find a good condition glass bezel.

Is there anybody out there who would be able to reproduce the bezel for me???

I am not looking for glass...it would be too hard to handle (shipping and of course the flaking). I would prefer silk-screened plexi but I would even be happy with a nicely done cardboard underlay.

The bezel isn't pretty and isn't meant to be so but I want to make my machine look good and the flaking bezel is an eye sore.

Any ideas???
