Are the dipswitch settings the same for all games using the mvs 1? Example:dipswitch 1= freeplay for any game in the MVS library? Or are the settings different for each game like a typical board would be? Hope this question makes sense. I am trying to set switches on a BAMA EX cab.

Yeah, the dip switch settings should be the same on every mobo for every game. Like groffdaddy said, there are what they call "soft dip settings" in the test menu.

I'm not sure which 1-slot it's for, but I have an instruction manual lying around... if you need one, let me know.

There are overall soft dip settings then each game has its own soft dip settings. These are all accessed in the service menu.

whats a mobo? There are different versions of the 1 slot?

Mobo= motherboard i.e. 1-slot, 2-slot, 4-slot, 6-slot.

And yes there are different versions of the 1 slot.

Okay, what are the variations between them? Also, why is it that the home console carts cannot play on the MVS units,or is the limited to certain titles? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions,just trying to get some NEO knowledge under my belt.

I have a 4 slot, the hard DIP settings on the board control free play on all of my games. The soft DIP settings control things like lives, difficulty and realistic violence on the fighting games as was said earlier. On in 1 games turning 4 and 5 on will enbable you to set all soft DIP settings for the entire cart.
