Any ideas on a cheap audio amp that will run off of +5 or +12 that I can use to get sound out of the Dig Dug PCB that I made a JAMMA adapter for?

Thx

LM386 or NJM2070 both work from a 5v supply. I've used both of these as a amps with Digdug.

Thx guys. I Mickey-Moused the audio through a spare Atari stand alone audio PCB from a Gauntlet. It's not pur-dee but it works. :)

Mark-

Do you have a website somewhere that lists all of the things you have available? Seems I never know what you have until after the fact.

I could make one, but you'd only know about it after the fact ;)

I plan to get something together after i get my FIOS installed in a couple weeks.

The one and only Dig Dug to JAMMA adaptor I made has a Mr Do! amp wired-in, along with the volume control. It's not pretty, but it does work. :)

Yeah, that seemed to be the most popular way of doing it when I scanned the RGVAC archive on Google. I went with what I had on hand and used the Atari Audio PCB.

The only "issue" using the Atari audio board is that it needs 12VAC CT so it's not like you can pull the power from the JAMMA harness -- at least I don't know how it would be done (I use a Rad Shack answering machine power supply to get the needed 12VAC center tapped power that the board needs)..

A recycled PC speaker amplifier is another option. I try to grab these for free whenever I can.
