Hi all, I recently picked up a Dig Dug cabinet that was complete but not working. Well, I did a cap kit on the monitor, rebuilt the A/R II and replaced Big Blue. This brought the game back to life and it is working great except two minor things. 1, the sound is very quiet and I do not see any way to adjust it. 2, the video is not centered on the screen, the top left corner is clipped off a little bit and I also do not see a way to adjust this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The volume control is inside the coin door next to the coin counter, or at least it was at one point in time.

As for the monitor there are several ways to adjust it. What monitor? most dig dugs had k4600s and there are several adjustment on them.

I just noticed your post count. here let me help ya out a bit

here is the manual for your machine
http://www.crazykong.com/manuals/DigDug.man.pdf

and if you go to mikes arcade . com you will find the monitor manual.

Thanks, if my post count didn't give me away then my questions sure will:) Thanks for the help, My volume control is behind the coin door like you said. I saw it there, but thought it looked like the top to a fuse and didn't bother with it! As for the monitor, I have an Electrohome G07 19". I've downloaded the manual and it appears that I need a signal generator and have to go through a 3 page process just to adjust the centering of the screen? Does that really sound right?

no you do not need to do that. there are wire jumpers to set position near the back of the chassis and there are 4 pots on the back that you can adjust out(stay away from the b+ that is harder to get to.) also did you do the 303 mod, this could help you out the the folding corner.

Thanks a ton for all of your help, those 4 pots did the trick. I only have 1 more adjustment and I am afraid it may be the Horizontal width coil. It appears that the white plastic housing is gone, but it is hard to get at without removing the chassis. Here is a pic of the problem, the top slopes downward from left to right instead of a nice horizontal line...
