finally got my dig dug working by replacing the rectifier in the power supply. simple, yes, but for an amateur it took me quite a while to get that done with the help of someone who knows what they are doing. worked ok for two days about 15 minutes a day, now its displaying gibberish after about a solid half hour of being on. noticed the colors were off when it was working, the box that says atari that drops down at the beginning was just a white box. anyway, when it stopped working initially i was out of the room and i think it said rom 0, after restarting in regular and test mode, just get gibberish with an upside rom 4 mixed in there. i pulled out the rom4 chip and it looked alright, put it back. pulled out a couple others too but none looked dirty enough to cause any sort of connection problem...

I typically try to push on the rom chips when the problem is happening to see if I can tell which one is the problem. If you find a bad one, pull it out, clean the legs, and put it back in and see if that helps.

thanks for the suggestion. ill try that tonight. btw ive got a friend with a warlords cocktail, but it down in south texas and doubtful that its for sale! a total blast to play though...

btw what should i use to clean the legs? can i just spray some isopropel alcohol or something into the chit seats and maybe dip the legs or something?

I've used qtips and pure rubbing alcohol before (is key that the percentage of isopropyl alcohol is high).

Man Warlords is fun! I'd love to have one at some point. For now the 2600 version will have to do. :)

Dig Dug board isn't for sale. Just bought it from quarterarcade.com. :)
