I am new to the hobby and am trying to fix a DD machine, but I can't get a picture. I can hear the game, controls and coin mechs working, but there is no image. I tried troubleshooting but have hit an impasse. I did not see any ruptured caps, loose wires, or broken traces. Could this be an issue with the flyback? There is some crud on the flyback (see pic). Is this the ooze that has been mentioned in previous posts? I'm getting enough power into the chassis (127v). There is rust and corrosion on the chassis, which I'm sure is not helping. The neck board does not glow, and I don't feel any static on the tube. Game was bought as non working. Thoughts??

The fly looks fine, but that means a whole lot of nothing. Your Horizontal Width Coil is broken, as seen in pic #1.

What is the status of fuse F901 & F902?

Thanks for responding. F901 and F902 are in appear ok and have continuity. When you say the coil is broken how would i identify that it is? how do i test it?

broken coil/ playing blind

ok i do see that the top half is missing. I appreciate the quick response. I will try to locate a new coil to fix this. Do you believe this will resolve the problem of playing blind?
