When I got this Dig Dug a few months back, someone had decided to paint the areas around the side art orange...not sure why...
I decided to take the plunge and see what I could do to remove it and not damage the vinyl and artwork. Read on the boards about Citristrip so decided to give it a whirl.
Mistake one: Followed the directions on the can, which resulted in a spot of vinyl being eaten through after letting the stuff sit too long. Experimented a little more and realized the paint came up almost instantly. Perfect timing in my case seems to be about 5 minutes. I didn't even scrape the goop off - just wiped off with an old t-shirt.
Used Goof-off to remove the hazy orange film left from wiping the paint off, and then finished it off with a magic eraser and Simple Green. Pretty pleased so far. Cab is by no means perfect but at least it is not orange. Now its time to do side two.
