This is in my cabaret with the Atari PCB. I have the volume knob cranked, but the sound is very low. You can hear it fine when it's the only machine on, but with a full complement of games running you can't here it all. Is there something else I should look at after the volume pot? I have cranked it back and forth several times, but the levels remain the same.

It'll be one of the two (possibly both) TDA2002's on the Audio/Regulator board. They look like a transistor, but have five legs.

The octo-transistors? I may have a couple of those left over from another rebuild I never finished.

Oh oh oh, I get it.

Your Pole Position uses the same exact A/R II board(well, actually two). If you wanted to confirm 100% it's the A/R board, you could toss one from Pole Position into the Dig Dug and see if the issue goes away.

thread necro alert!

got a Dig Dug with low volume. I've tried multiple good AR2s and its the same thing. even tried different and new pots with same results.

what do I do now?

This may sound like trolling, but it's not:

Did you check the connections to the speaker, and the speaker cone itself?

If that's bad, you SHOULD be able to find a suitable replacement in the automobile section of Walmart(actually not kidding).
