Throw ya hands in the air. I checked VAPS, but I only noted maybe 3-5 Dig Dug mini owners and only one dude actually provided a serial number. I just picked one up over the weekend (Thanks Allen), and I wondered how many of the 501 units are represented here? I'll get pics later in the week, but for now, suffice to say mine is in good shape and is serial number 190. If you own one and get the chance, post a pic and your serial number.

OK, the only cabaret serial number I found in VAPS was #305. So:

190 - Phetishboy
305 - Donald Hayes

Any others care to share?

32 - Pookie D
190 - Phetishboy
305 - Donald Hayes

Any others care to share? Only 498 of them to go.

Dig Dug mini's are freaking awesome. Grats, mang.

Hey thanks SoCal Jow. I agree. I know they had to have side art films for this cabaret as well as the rest of the Atari cabarets, so I will just bide my time til the repros show up. Translaytion: I am just cleaning this cab up and moving it into Galaxy Blue.

Here's no. 32. This came with a side-art order request form; think they'll send me some? :D

I have #164 now, but don't recall the S/N of my previous Dig Dug cabaret.

Mike Freeland in the Kansas City area also has one (he gets on KLOV every once in a while).

Scott C.

I guess mine would be #000. Here it is sitting in my home office. I picked it up from a former Atari employee that lived here in town and he told me he brought this home out of the engineering lab. He actually had it advertised on CL as a Centipede. The guy once had a big home arcade but had since sold most everything off. He kept this cab because he loved Centipede and was always going to "get it back up and running". I guess he forgot that Centipede used a trackball, but I later found a NOS Centipede cabaret control panel in the pile of parts that he gave me.

I have it on VAPS, but the serial is listed as N/A. I bought the recently reproduced CPO, but I can't decide if I want to put it on. I haven't been able to find a bezel. The tinted glass came with it. I had Rich print me up a marquee to fill the hole. I really need to have him redo it on plexi since he can do that now.

That is very cool and a nice backstory. I wish I could find more cabarets, up to 6 so far. Cabaret sideart is even better, can't wait for the Asteroids Deluxe. Hope to have a Dig Dug one day and just in case if the sideart is made available I'll buy just to have.

Anyone else wanna get on board the Dig Dug Mini Train? There have got to be more of these machines in KLOVer's hands. Should be about 497 of these still out there. If yours is converted, post the serial number of the cab anyway.

I found (2) today. One is serial #195 and the other is missing the serial tag on the back. Both need cleaned up but are basically complete.

Serial number may be on the power supply, PCB or monitor as well, if it's still all original. Updated:

00 - arcadeannex
32 - Pookie D
164 - Scott C
190 - Phetishboy
195 - jbk
305 - Donald Hayes
??? - jbk

I sold mine for $350 to a local guy after nobody here wanted it. I'll dig around for the serial number.

I had an upright once. I traded it for something else. Nice sideart on the upright, but if I were to ever own another, I'd want the cabaret. It's one that seems to 'work' in the cabaret form, not just a miniature version of it.

There are some other cabarets listed on the VAPS listing for this game. They look to be mostly people that haven't been around in a while.

I watched someone play this game recently who was pretty good at it. He was able to lead the enemies towards a rock and then crush most if not all of them when the rock was loosened and plunged downward. Being able to stop enemies with your air pump but not take the time to explode them in order to get out of a situation, also seems to be a key strategy.

This game does not get a lot of respect, yet has its following.
