Different size wire 14, 16, 18 or 20. What size is correct and when?
I was reading around a lot last night and this morning about the different size wires used in arcade games.
It seems that Bob uses 18 and 20 gauge wire and I have seen where ken says 16 is used a lot.
So what type and size is best for the machines? What size should be used where and when? What size would you use for making your own jamma adapters? ect.. ect..
Now...
On my hunt last night I could only find 14g stranded wire. I need a lot of wire (180ft) to make a custom adapter for a interconnect board on the back of pole position.
Anyway it looks like 14g might be a bit much/over kill. Whats your thoughts on this?
Also where can I buy the wire you suggest at? What kind of price can I expect to pay?
This 500ft roll from Lowe's was $45.00 and they only had 14g, 12g, 10g ect. I should have went to home depot so I knew what both had...
Any ideas on a better place to buy wire at?
