Different Color Nintendo Cabinets ?

I am getting ready to strip mine down and redo all the wood. I am considering the black/grey route like shown in this ad.

Did that actual cabinet ever exist? I love the way it looks.

The grey cab is the American-made dedicated Vs. machine constructed out of particle board. The blue one is either a Japanese DK made from Plywood, or more likely an American made DK made from particle board. The grey cabs have several differences and are made from far inferior materials than the Japanese plywood cabs. I think a DK cab painted grey would look terrible. I converted the Grey Vs. Cab I had into a black Playchoice cabinet which I think looks much better. That grey color is an eyesore.

Wow, that playchoice looks sick.

Yeah, mine is plywood. So maybe I will just keep it to the original color.

I did these before, I like the yellow !

These are 48-in-1 Jamma bartop units with Sanwa Parts @ 15" LCD monitors.
If I do get another Nintendo cabinet I think red or yellow it is.
I'll sell my Neo Geo and then do my "MEGA-MAME" concept in whatever color I didn't use (yellow or red).
Thanks all

Someone just posted a pic of a dark blue Donkey Kong. I think the thread was #98 out of 100. It looks really good. I think I would change the joystick ball to blue or black though.
