Has anyone seen this Chinese brand before? This one has a switch on the end of a cable. Runs both boards are the same time.
Having typical ground issues.
Ran a ground jumper but still nothing as far as buttons go. Both boards test 100% no issues alone.
I've done the green Chinese ones and a few of the 6-1 with no issues. What am I missing,,…

I have the green 2 way switcher that looks similar (marked GBS 8118 IIRC), and haven't had any problems. There's no need to do the ground mod like on the 6-in-1, since you can see the ground is continuous between the points that you jumpered.

Comparing pics between the yellow and green boards, it looks like the yellow board has some extra 3 legged components (maybe diodes or transistors) scattered, and an extra connector by the phone jack. Not sure that any of those would make a difference though.

Can you see the boards running with audio and video switching between the two, just the buttons don't work? How about if you just install one board in the switcher... does a board work by itself?

They both run when switched over. On other games I have set up they will show the board booting. With both of these they are already in game play when you change over.
Even with just one board in, and I've tried both individually, same issue with no buttons.

Power isn't switched... that's why they're so cheap.
