Someone I bought 2 arcades from also has a Die Hard arcade for sale. Actually, it's probably close to free, maybe $30-$50. It's not working, but the cabinet is original and in very rough shape.

The seller doesn't know anything about these arcades, he moved into a house that had these arcades just sitting in the car port exposed to the weather (the humidity is brutal in Hawaii). I picked up (2) red Dynamo Z-Back arcades from him, one is an ICade 60-in-1 and was working and just needed the monitor adjusted (bought it for $170), the other is a Capcom CPS II and it works but no working video (bought it for $30).

I'm pretty sure I can get the Die Hard for $30-$50, but I have no idea how bad it is. He said it doesn't turn on at all.

BTW, I'm very new to this arcade collecting/restoring thing, I just bought my first 2 last week and I can see addictive tendencies to scoop up every arcade I find already!

He has a Neo Geo arcade too, but it's working perfectly fine and he wants $500. For some reason, I'm only interested in arcades that are cheap and appear not to work. Weird...

If the Die Hard is in the original plastic cab I'd grab it. A machine that doesn't work at all is most likely a power supply problem. If it is the original cab then it most likely has a U2000 monitor. That will be different than the K7000s in your other cabs. It is not as well documented but it is repairable.

The biggest problem with Die Hard is it is not a good game...

Thanks, that's pretty much what I wanted to hear. I have enough stuff in my garage and enough household projects. Don't need something that's not worth my time.

Only thing I could think of doing with it is get it working and sell it. But if it's not a good game, no one will want it. And that would be a roll of the dice to see how much it would take to fix. Yes, the monitor, controls, and marquee are all there, and it's the original cabinet (yes, I remember it looked odd, plastic makes sense). But not worth fixing to sell if it doesn't have much value.
