Did you know that Punch-Out was originally called "Knock-Out"?

Punch-Out and Super Punch-Out are my all-time favorite arcade games, and I never knew that.

Nice! There's a full pic of that on Jerry Momoda's site, along with a shot from the flyer photo shoot that shows the Knock-Out!! side art.
 
I think another tidbit is they had Larry Holmes at the first press event or whatever announcing the game. By the time the home version came out, they added Tyson to it who was champ at the time.

I think another tidbit is they had Buster Douglas at the first press event or whatever announcing the game. He was soon knocked out by Mike Tyson, which was why they used Tyson in the home version.

Mike Tyson never knocked out Buster Douglas. Tyson was in jail. Evander Holyfield knocked him out.
