i did. not because they were in bad shape, i just didn't like the game itself. in my early collecting days i bought games just to have, not realizing that i would eventually need the room for more desirable games. if i knew then what i know now........

Only once, but it was an entire truckload, not one game. I ran outta room really quick!

Luckily for me, I never did that. A LOT of the games I had though were games I thought I wanted but after a while I bailed on. I guess for me though, I have never had a dedicated game room, so I always felt the need to move new games in and out. If I had a big dedicated game room in my house, I'm sure I would still have many of the games I have gotten rid of over the years.

No, but I've regretted NOT buying a game, either due to lack of money or space at the time...

In before Phet says 720.

(since 90 % of my posts are about 1 game....I'll follow suit)

In all honesty I do have to acknowlege that several people have done this with 720. It's one of those games that looks very cool...and many people have fond memories of...but gameplay is an aquired taste. I love it, but completely understand that it just doesn't do it for some. So, 720s tend to bounce around from owner to owner sometimes.

i bought a stargate cocktail and i bought it because it was so rare. i loved owning it but never played it. asteroids deluxe i liked but again when i started to buy more and more games they fell by the wayside. another game i had mixed feelings on getting was tapper cocktail, not that it wasn't a great get, it was that the previous owner turned out to be such a jerk off ( i bought two games and never delivered the second game) it kinda soured me on the whole deal saying "i never should have dealt with this asshole"

I bought a few fighting games and just couldn't get myself to play them regularly.

Unloaded them all.

I also got rid of my Sega Naomi, Track and Field, Hypersports (which was non working) and some others.

It's good to sell games and get new ones. Keeps the interest level up.

Beast Busters Second Nightmare.

Continue game, 2 loud ass machine guns, featuring gory graphics that catch your attention for about the first 3 days. Blowing the heads off zombie nurses

It was a beast, and it busted my back coming down, then back up the stairs.

Learned my lesson on that one. Classics only after that.

I bought a kangaroo once thought it was a good deal found out later it wasn't. The game was horrible fair condition at best the only up side is I meet some good people with the sale. It took a few years to realize just because its from the classic era and cheap doesn't mean go get it and I don't really have a space problem some just aren't worth any space they take up no matter how cheap or close.
Sorry to any Kangaroo lovers I didn't part it out or anything just sent it to someone who did like it.

You know it's funny. I never cared for 720 BITD and I sucked at it. Had a friend (in the past few years) keep telling me I needed a 720. I kept telling him I didn't care for the game then an opportunity popped up to get one, so I did. Now I actually love the game. Unfortunately I still need to get the optic fixed since the stick isn't tracking right.

I've never regretted buying any game.

However, I have tons that I regret having got rid of.

Vids:
Major Havoc (minty Space Duel cab)
DKJr. (repainted, decked out with new side art and T-molding)
Stargate (minty)
Phoenix (my first game, reconverted from Final Fight)
Rampage
Tron (even though the bottom of the cabinet was falling apart)
Depthcharge (only got rid of because the PCB was fried)

Pins:

Black Knight 2000
The Who's: Tommy
Cyclone

Games I regret picking up.
Alcon or Mission XX in a centipede cab. Got it as far as just inside the front door and refused to try to take it up stairs. Atari is just too damn heavy. I think I bought this one with like 9 other games once. I still have the DK jr CT from that bunch. But I sold the 2 ninty cabs(robocop and mario bros). Both got old fairly quick.

So the games I kinda wish I had back:
My first 2 games were rastan in a pac cab and Ninja gaiden.
I kinda wish I had that Rastan back.
It would be nice if I could have kept that ded Mario Bros.
I had like 1200 in a Neo Geo conversion many many many moons ago. It would be nice to have my 4 slot neo back. I think I sold it for 800. Lost my ass and it was in a nice HS-5.

On the flip side, I owned Hippodrome in a Krull cab. I don't want it back. ;)

I regretted getting my Tron way back in the day. I love the machine but as it was before a really good online community I found its constant issues frustrating and expensive to have someone come and fix. For the longest time I just had it in storage because it was way too heavy to keep moving and I had no desire to work on it. Now my opinion has totally changed as I've learned enough about the machine to work on it myself and actually do enjoy working on it.

I bought a cherry master ticket disensing game at a super auctions for $400. I was with the wife, mom, and dad, and we were wanting the Centipede next to the cherry master, We all herard toothless start the bidding on the cendipede, but ended up selling me the cherry master. We were all stunned, and protested. His excuse was that he said "I was starting the bidding on the game next to the Centipede".

Regardless, it worked fine, and back when ebay allowed me to contact losing bidders from auctions, I ended up selling the game for more than $!00 than I paid. I just really wanted the centipede...which I have still never been able to buy!

Completely. ;)
