Did you buy the pac-man in swampscott MA ?

Been in the hobby a little less than two years and have had at least five games if not more sniped away. Everytime it happens it stings but it happens enough to say "meh" and move on to the next possible deal. Plenty of pac man cabs around so you'll probably find one for cheaper eventually.

When i see stuff on CL for $500 , and its worth $500.. i get ahold of the seller right
away and give him my number . I tell him right away i have an empty van and cash ready to go.
If i myself cant go, i hand my keys and the cash to a friend and send them.
Talking people down on CL nowadays past 20 to 25 bux only gets you one thing.. ignored.

I was buying a pinball in Florida last year and the guy had an original Pacman in very good condition, and only wanted $350 for it, so better believe I made room on my truck for it too. I regret selling it, I had put a good monitor in it and a nice board and I offered it up here for I think $700 and it was scooped.
I'm actually buying a Pacman project for $150 just to make another because I love the game.

When deals come up, you have to be ready on the spot to drop everything and make it happen. There's a fine line too, depending on what the game is and the price, whether or not you're brave enough to screw around for a lower price or just tell them you'll take it and you're ready. One is the sure thing in your truck, the other is always a gamble that rarely pays off.

I put up a ms pacman on CL... a repeat customer ended up ringing my phone
asking me to pull it off cl and he would pay me extra.
some people know how to jump quick lol.
Matter of fact, he hopped in his truck and hauled ass from RI and was here that same night.

Now i know this dude, so i gave him some advice.
I know he likes fighting games of 90s era.. But he didnt have a nice neo geo.
One popped up on CL.. he was actually about to buy my space invaders but i stopped him
and convinced him to seek out the neo geo instead because it would be nice in his collection
of what he already had. In return , i told him ill pull the space invaders for a few weeks
in case the neo geo falls through he can whip back around and get the space invaders.
That way he had a crack at both machines.. this guy doesnt mess around he shows up
every time with alot of cash so i didnt mind holding the machine for him.
